Punjab Lok Congress, led by Captain Amarinder Singh, has received a party symbol

The hockey stick and ball have been chosen as the electoral symbol for Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress party, party update about this on Twitter.

“Happy to inform that Punjab Lok Congress has received it’s Party Symbol – Hockey Stick and Ball,” the Punjab Lok Congress said in a tweet.

Punjab has a long history of success in hockey, with various players representing the country at both the men’s and women’s levels. The state has also produced national team captains. Hockey is India’s national sport, and the country has the best Olympic record in this sport.

After being forced to resign from the role of Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, who led Congress to victory in the 2017 Punjab elections, left the party. One of the reasons he left the grand old party was his falling out with state president Navjot Singh Sidhu.
