Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, found Covid positive

Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, said on Twitter that he has tested positive for Covid-19 and has taken refuge at home. He experienced "mild symptoms," according to the top BJP leader.

Rajnath Singh tweeted, "I have tested positive for Corona today with mild symptoms. I am under home quarantine. I request everyone who have recently come in my contact to isolate themselves and get tested."

On January 8, Singh gave a webinar in which he announced the establishment of 100 new Sainik Schools across the country to create possibilities for women to join the military. According to him, the action will help the country grow.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 1,79,723 new cases of coronavirus in a 24-hour period, bringing the country's daily positive rate to 13.29 percent.

The Omicron variation has been documented in a total of 4,033 cases. The state with the most cases (1,216) in Maharashtra, followed by Rajasthan (529) and Delhi. (513).

Until now, about 1,552 people who had been infected with the novel variety had recovered.

The weekly positivity rate is 7.29%, and the daily positivity rate is 13.29%. COVID-19 instances have increased to 35,528,004 across the country.
