Shri Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway Inspects the
Anand Vihar Terminal Railway station to see the festival rush arrangement
94 festival special trains having 610 trips to clear extra rush of passengers generating about 5.00Lakh additional seats/ berths
In addition 128 coaches with 640 trips generating 51, 000 seats
Today, Shri Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway inspected the festival rush arrangement at Anand Vihar Terminal Railway station. Shri Dimpy Garg, DRM Delhi Division and Sr. Officers of Northern Railway also accompanied the General Manager during the inspection. The General Manager inspected the various arrangements at Anand Vihar Terminal and also interacted with the passengers.
The various arrangements for crowd management were briefed by General Manager, Northern Railway. Northern Railway has planned to run 610 Trips of 94 Special Trains generating about 5.00 lakh additional seats/ berths and augment trains by 128 additional coaches with 640 trips generating about 51,000 additional seats/berths during the festive season .
The following Arrangements have being made for crowd management at Anand Vihar Terminal :-
Mini Control Room
⮚ Setting up of mini control at Anand Vihar terminal being manned (from 06.00 hrs to 24.00 hrs) with nominated staff of Operating, Commercial, Mechanical, Engineering, Electrical, RPF & Railway Doctor.
⮚ This well equipped mini-control Room has facilities like Telephones, train information, Panel Room connectivity, CCTV feeds of platforms & circulating areas etc.
⮚ Officers are deputed as Special Duty Officers (SDOs) for overall supervision and coordination.
Additional passengers waiting area and facilities
⮚ Tentage arrangement at Anand Vihar terminal circulating area of 8160 sq. ft. having holding Capacity of 454 passengers.
⮚ 20 nos. mobile toilets, 20 nos. additional water taps in front of tentage area, 07 nos. reservation counters with 01 enquiry counter, 01 no. Big size LCD SCREEN For train information and public address system, 02 nos. food and snacks stalls
⮚ 01 no. RPF help desk counter.
Medical facilities
⮚ Deployment of a doctor round the clock.
⮚ Provision of First Aid post with Para-medical staff, adequate stretchers and wheelchairs at stations.
⮚ Availability of ambulance
Deployment of additional staff
⮚ Additional commercial staff, RPF & RPSF, GRP staff, civil defence volunteers and Scout & Guides have being deputed for crowd control and extending help to passengers.
Other precautions being taken
⮚ Once decided PF berthing is not being changed.
⮚ All the rakes including those of special trains are being placed on platforms at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
⮚ Proper working Train Enquiry system and announcement system.
⮚ All train information boards are in working condition and will show the updated information.
⮚ Manning of escalators (from 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs).
⮚ Regular monitoring through a dedicated Whatsapp Group
⮚ Railway Health Unit Anand Vihar terminal near Railway Station have been instructed to remain in readiness to any eventuality at Railway Station.
⮚ Adherence to COVID protocol through announcements and monitoring by commercial and RPF staff.
