
The state govt. has received 2.80 lakh Covaxin doses
The vaccination drive for children in Himachal Pradesh will begin on January 3rd
The Himachal Pradesh government will begin immunizing persons aged 15 to 18 years old on January 3. According to state Health Minister Rajiv Saizal, the decision came after the state government received 2.80 lakh doses of Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covaxin (BBV152). Standard operating procedures (SOPs) will also be issued to schools that will function as immunization sites, according to Saizal. He stated that the vaccine deadline has been set for January 15.
Himachal Pradesh has immunized all of its eligible residents. Health Minister Rajiv Saizal hailed the milestone on Wednesday, calling it a source of pride for the state. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing children to be vaccinated beginning in the first week of January 2022.
According to PTI, there are 403 current COVID-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh, with 18 people having recovered from the virus as of today.
