On the MCX, gold futures maturing on February 4, 2022 are retailing at Rs 48,185 per 10 grammes, down Rs 3 or 0.01 percent.
Meanwhile, silver rates, which mature on March 4, 2022, are currently at Rs 62,320 per kilogramme, down Rs 76 or 0.12%.
According to HDFC Securities, gold prices in the national capital rose Rs 57 to Rs 47,263 per 10 gramme on Friday, mirroring robust international trends. The precious gold settled at Rs 47,206 per 10 gramme in the previous trade. "Spot gold prices for 24 carat in Delhi were trading up by Rs 57 in line with world gold prices," said Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities) at HDFC Securities. Silver rose 183 rupees to Rs 61,054 per kilogramme, up from Rs 60,871 in the previous transaction.
Gold and silver were apparently selling lower on Friday on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). On the MCX, gold was selling for Rs 48,185 per gramme, while silver was selling for Rs 62,320 per kg, down Rs 3 and Rs 76 respectively.
Gold was up USD 1,810 per ounce on the international market, while silver was steady at USD 22.78 per ounce.
