Abdullah Azam,Azam Khan’s son has been released from prison.

Late Saturday evening, Abdullah Azam, the son of prominent Samajwadi Party politician Azam Khan, was released from Sitapur jail. 

On February 27, 2020, Abdullah Azam and his father were transferred from Rampur jail to Sitapur jail. 

Abdullah Azam's release order was obtained earlier, but there was a discrepancy, according to Sitapur jail superintendent Suresh Singh. 

According to him, a Rampur court issued a new order allowing him to be released.

In Rampur, Abdullah is facing 43 criminal charges, all of which have been dismissed by the jail officials.

Several supporters gathered outside the jail to see Abdullah Azam, who later travelled to Rampur in a car with family members. 

In a brief interview with the assembled journalists, he stated that "oppression would cease and the oppressor will be dethroned on March 10," when the results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election will be announced. 

Between February 10 and March 7, the state's assembly elections will be place in seven parts.
