An emotional tribute paid by Amul to the legendary singer

On the internet, Amul India's drawings never fail to win hearts. The lovely sketches bring a smile to the faces of everyone who see them. On Sunday, Amul doodles paid a poignant tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, the iconic singer. The doodle featured three sketched representations of the national heroine, each representing three various stages of her life, as well as a phrase that read, "Hum jahan jahan chalega aapka saaya saath hoga," which was inspired by one of her most famous songs, "Tu Jahan Jahan Chalega Mera Saaya Saath “ Tu Jahan Jahan Chalega Mera Saaya Sath Hoga.”

At Shivaji Park in Mumbai, Lata Mangeshkar was cremated with full state honors

Lata Mangeshkar, a Bharat Ratna, was given a state funeral at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Mangeshkar, also known as "India's Nightingale," died 28 days after being admitted to the hospital due to multiple organ failure while receiving COVID-19 treatment. Around 7:15 p.m., she was cremated. The Centre had already declared a two-day period of national mourning in honor of the famed playback singer.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tributes to the great musician before the cremation. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and a slew of other celebrities were among those who paid their respects.

At Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, Dr. Pratit Samdani, who was treating Lata Mangeshkar, said, "It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of Lata Mangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post-COVID19." Mangeshkar was admitted to the hospital on January 11 after testing positive with COVID-19.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, and Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, V Muraleedharan, Nitin Gadkari, Pralhad Joshi, S Jaishankar, and Kiren Rijiju, among others, expressed their condolences on the loss of the legendary singer. Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut, and Sachin Pilot were among the leaders who lamented the death of the renowned singer.
