Delhi Police detained Lalit Mohan Jha, the sixth accused in the recent security breach at Parliament, on Thursday evening. Jha voluntarily presented himself at the police station and is currently under interrogation, according to a police official.
Mastermind of breach: Jha accused of orchestrating Parliament Security Breach
Lalit Mohan Jha is alleged to be the mastermind behind the security breach incident in Parliament. The breach occurred on Wednesday when intruders Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from visitors' galleries, creating chaos. Two individuals, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, were also arrested for protesting outside Parliament. The police have charged the accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The four arrested individuals have been remanded to seven-day police custody.

Hailing from Kolkata, Jha was reportedly known as a quiet person who taught local children. Neighbors described him as keeping a low profile and mentioned that he left the area two years ago. The Delhi Police special cell revealed that during interrogation, the accused expressed intentions to replicate Bhagat Singh's historic action of throwing bombs inside the Central Assembly during British rule.
The security breach has prompted heightened security measures in the Parliament complex, and the Delhi Police are actively investigating the incident to ensure the safety and integrity of the legislative premises.
