Astronaut shares stunning Antarctica view from polar orbit

Astronaut captures stunning view of Antarctica from Polar Orbit in breathtaking video

A group of four private astronauts made history by flying over both the North and South Poles. They are part of SpaceX’s Fram2 mission, the first human spaceflight to orbit Earth from pole to pole. One of the astronauts, Chun Wang, shared a breathtaking video showing Antarctica from 460 km above.

Wang described the view as completely white, with no human activity visible. He posted the video on social media, saying, “Hello, Antarctica”. The footage was taken from the Cupola, a special glass window on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft, which allows astronauts to get wide views of space and Earth.

People online were amazed by the video. Many left comments calling the view “incredible,” “breathtaking,” and “amazing”. Some even asked for high-resolution images of the mountains visible in the footage.

The Fram2 mission is led by Chun Wang from Malta, a cryptocurrency entrepreneur. The other three astronauts are:

  • Rabea Rogge (Germany) – A scientist and engineer.

  • Jannicke Mikkelsen (Norway) – A filmmaker and vehicle commander.

  • Eric Phillips (Australia) – A medical officer and adventure guide.

Phillips has led ski expeditions to the poles, while Mikkelsen is known for her work in filmmaking. This mission marks an important milestone in space travel, proving that private astronauts can explore Earth from new perspectives.
