The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed its 8th list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The list includes nominees for 11 constituencies across Odisha, Punjab, and West Bengal. Notable names featured in the list are Sushil Kumar Rinku and Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
New faces and replacements:
Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Sushil Kumar Rinku, who recently joined the BJP, has been nominated to contest from Jalandhar. Additionally, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, former Indian ambassador to the US, will make his political debut representing the BJP in Amritsar. The party has also given the ticket to Preneet Kaur, the wife of former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, to contest from Patiala. However, actor Sunny Deol, known for his infrequent attendance in Parliament, has been replaced in Gurdaspur by Dinesh Singh Babbu.

Significant entries and shifts:

Mahtab recently switched allegiance from the BJD to the BJP. Meanwhile, three-time Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, the grandson of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, will contest from Ludhiana.
