BMW Motorrad K 1600 and R 1250 RT bookings are now open

BMW Motorrad has begun taking reservations for the K 1600 and R 1250 RT models, which will arrive on sale in May 2022. The K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B, and K 1600 Grand America are all part of the K 1600 line.

Late last year, BMW revamped the K 1600 line-up with new engines, electronics, feature sets, and colour schemes. The 1,649cc inline-six engine in the K 1600 GTL, for example, produces 160hp and 179Nm of peak torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed transmission.

Power can now be found low in the rev range thanks to the engine update, and the two additional knock sensors ensure that the engine runs smoothly even when using lower octane fuel. Given that 95+ octane fuel is not readily available in India, this should be beneficial. Two new lambda sensors, as well as six exhaust manifold sensors, have been included to the update to monitor the combustion performance.

The K 1600 comes with a long list of standard features, including a 10.25-inch colour TFT display, full-LED headlight and adaptive cornering light, three Ride Modes, and MSR.

Heated grips, heated seats, hill start control, a tyre pressure monitor, and an audio system 2.0 with SAT-radio are also included. It also gets dynamic ESA with automatic load-levelling as standard.

The GTL offers a standard top box and is designed for more pillion comfort when compared to the GT. The optional equipment list includes keyless ride, central locking system, gear shift assist pro, anti-theft alarm and LED-auxiliary headlamp, and engine protection guard.

The BMW K 1600 siblings are expected to cost between 30 lakh and 35 lakh rupees.

The 2022 R 1250 RT is equipped with a 1254cc boxer engine that produces 134hp and 143Nm, as well as a six-speed transmission. All-LED lights, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, three ride modes, and other features are included on this international bike. Optional features include radar-based adaptive cruise control, electronic suspension, and a dynamic ride mode, among others.

A 1,649 cc six-cylinder engine with 158 bhp and 180 Nm of peak torque will power the BMW K 1600 B, K 1600 GTL, and K 1600 Grand America in 2022. The R 1250 RT, on the other hand, will be powered by a 1,254 cc two-cylinder in-line Boxer engine that produces 134 horsepower and 143 Nm of torque.

The new BMW R 1250 RT is destined to set a new standard in the world of dynamic touring bikes, combining comfort and riding pleasure over long distances. The new BMW K 1600 vehicles were created to provide a luxurious, high-performance touring experience.

The new BMW K 1600 GTL is athletic, energetic, and superb, representing comfortable yet nimble travel, while the new BMW K 1600 B delivers sumptuous cruising in classic Bagger flair. In terms of highway cruising style and experience, the new BMW K 1600 Grand America sets a new benchmark.

The new motorcycles will be marketed and serviced through BMW Motorrad’s premium dealer network in India, which includes (Lutyens Motorrad) in Delhi, (Navnit Motors) in Mumbai, (Bavaria Motors) in Pune, (KUN Motorrad) in Chennai, (Tusker Motorrad) in Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.Gallops Autohaus), Kochi (EVM Autokraft), Hyderabad (JSP Motorrad), Indore (Munich Motors), Lucknow (Speed Motors), Chandigarh (Krishna Automobiles), Jaipur (Pratap Motorrad), Raipur (Mandhan Motors), Cuttack and Kolkata (OSL Prestige) and Ranchi (Titanium Autos).
