Chandigarh Police arrest two suspects in Karni Sena Chief's Murder Case

In a significant breakthrough, two suspects involved in the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, have been apprehended in a joint operation by the Delhi Police crime branch and the Rajasthan Police. The shooters, identified as Rohit Rathore Makrana from Jaipur and Nitin Fouji from Haryana, were captured in Chandigarh. Their arrest came hours after an associate was nabbed by the Rajasthan Police in Haryana.

The shooters allegedly entered Gogamedi's premises with the help of a neighbor, Naveen Shekhswat, and shot both Gogamedi and Shekhawat after a brief conversation. Another local, Hemraj, was also shot, and his two-wheeler was stolen. A childhood friend of one of the shooters, Ramveer Jatt, was arrested for aiding their escape.

Capture and investigation:

An 11-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed by the Rajasthan Police to pursue the accused. The shooters' movements were traced through CCTV footage, leading the police to Chandigarh. After confirming their location, the arrest was made in Chandigarh's Sector 22 late at night. The two suspects are expected to be brought to Jaipur for further investigation, focusing on potential connections to gangster Rohit Godara and his associates. The motive behind the murder, according to a social media post by Godara, is believed to be Gogamedi's alleged support for Godara's enemies.
