Commercial LPG cylinder price cut by ₹41
Price of commercial LPG cylinders reduced by ₹41, bringing relief to businesses
Oil marketing companies have announced a price reduction for commercial LPG cylinders. From April 1, 2025, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in New Delhi will be ₹1,762. This move is expected to benefit restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that rely on LPG for daily operations.
Regular price revisions
Petroleum companies generally update LPG prices on the first day of each month. This ₹41 reduction follows a ₹7 price cut in February 2025. However, before that, in December 2024, the price of commercial LPG cylinders had increased by ₹62.
While the price cut is a welcome relief, it may not significantly affect businesses that use large quantities of LPG. The overall cost of LPG depends on global crude oil prices, local taxes, and transportation costs, which vary across states.
For now, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged, meaning households will not see any difference in their cooking gas expenses.
