CBI to take over Alwar case investigation

According to a statement from the chief minister's office, the Rajasthan government decided on Sunday to send the case of a mentally ill juvenile girl found in critical condition in the Alwar district to the CBI.

The decision was made at a high-level meeting chaired by chief minister Ashok Gehlot, according to the announcement. The state government will make suggestions to the federal government as soon as possible.

On Tuesday, the girl was brutalized and sent to the JK Lone hospital in Jaipur, where she underwent surgery.

While the opposition has called for a CBI investigation into the issue, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Saturday that the state administration is willing to have the incident investigated by any police officer outside Alwar, the Crime Branch, the SOG, or the CBI if the girl's family requests it.

He said in a Tweet, “The state police is already doing an independent and impartial investigation in the case. Still, if the family of the girl wants to get this matter investigated by any specific officer outside Alwar, or CID, Crime Branch, SOG or by CBI, then the state government is ready for this also.”

He further said, “The intention of the government is clear that there should be independent research in this matter and the reality of this incident should come to the fore.”

According to Gehlot, a thorough inquiry is underway to determine how the girl sustained her injuries.

The Alwar police stated they are waiting for the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report to make a final determination two days after a medical examiner ruled out the potential of rape with the underage girl.

The girl was not abducted or raped, according to the technological proof and medical evaluation.

“The medical report is already clear that the minor was not raped, now the FSL report will lead to the final conclusion,” the official said.

The samples were obtained by forensic science experts, according to a senior police official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

There was no sign of blood on the overbridge or the route taken by the youngster before arriving at the bridge, according to the police team examining the matter. Even the highly trained dog squad has been unsuccessful in locating any evidence.

Meanwhile, the police have enlisted the help of child psychiatrists to talk with the girl, but she is unable to provide any information. The minor is incapable of uttering even a single word.

In other news, a driver of a vehicle has confirmed that the girl was walking alone on the bridge. Earlier in the day, BJP state president Satish Poonia called for an investigation by the CBI into the case. Today, a delegation of BJP leaders paid a visit to the girl's family in Alwar.
