Chandigarh furniture factory fire: no casualties in intense blaze

Massive blaze engulfs Chandigarh furniture factory, miraculously no casualties reported

A significant fire outbreak devastated a furniture factory located in the Industrial Area, Phase-2, Chandigarh, on Monday. Fortunately, the fire occurred before the factory's operational hours, ensuring there were no casualties. However, all the furniture stored within the facility was consumed by the flames.

The fire, which erupted at 8:30 a.m., remains shrouded in mystery regarding its cause. A total of 15 fire tenders swiftly arrived at the scene to combat the inferno, which had enveloped the Shyam Ji Trading Company premises, shrouding the area in thick smoke.

Precautions taken to prevent further damage

Adjacent to the furniture unit, two chemical factories raised concerns due to their proximity. Members of the Chandigarh Industrial Association initiated precautionary measures to safeguard these nearby units from any potential harm.
