Citizens of the United States in Ukraine should “leave now”
Biden cautioned that ‘things might get crazy quickly’ because the US is dealing with one of the world’s largest armies (Russia’s).
On Thursday, US President Joe Biden encouraged American citizens to leave Ukraine quickly, warning of a massive catastrophe with Moscow if US and Russian troops clash on the ground.

Biden also stated that he would not send US troops to Ukraine under any circumstances, including to rescue Americans in the event of a Russian attack.

Tensions between Washington and Moscow are at an all-time high, according to US estimates, with 130,000 Russian soldiers positioned near the Ukrainian border in hundreds of combat troops.
In an effort to calm frayed tensions, Western leaders have engaged in shuttle diplomacy. However, Biden’s remarks, as well as the State Department’s renewed call for Americans to leave on Thursday, are practically guaranteed to re-ignite tensions.
Biden, on the other hand, ridiculed the idea of rescuing Americans in Ukraine, adding, “How do you even find them?”
