Congress unveiled its youth manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh elections

“You Begin in Uttar Pradesh for a New Vision of India," Rahul Gandhi says ahead of the elections.

In its vision statement for India's most populous state, the Congress unveiled its youth manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections today, vowing to solve a number of issues affecting young, including unemployment. "Our understanding and belief is that India requires a new vision," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi remarked. "You start from Uttar Pradesh for a new vision of India," stated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

"Forget about employment; today's youth are unemployed." The reason for this is that all of the jobs are provided to only two or three industrialists. So, after speaking with the young of Uttar Pradesh, the Congress has come up with a plan to create jobs for you. While unveiling a vision document with his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Bhadra, Mr Gandhi said this.

The party said that the vision document of the youth has been prepared by talking and exchanging views with the youth of UP.

“We have seen what problems they face and what their problems are. All the political parties come and promise only jobs – 2.5 million jobs, 3 million jobs – but no one has explained in detail how they will do it. Congress has done it. The Youth Manifesto.” Priyanka Gandhi Bhadra, general secretary in-charge of the Uttar Pradesh party, said

“Today, the youth of UP are facing severe difficulties in getting jobs. They are qualified and unemployed. We aim to help them get the desired and necessary employment,” he said.

Not only that, but we're looking into the difficulties that young people face throughout exams. We intend to find a solution to this issue. We want to make an employment calendar with tests and scheduling in mind. This is a critical issue that must be addressed. "We also intend to hold an annual youth festival in Uttar Pradesh," he added.

The BJP's strategy for the 2014 general elections was a "total failure," according to the two leaders.

"They're turning India's population advantage into a demographic disaster." Mr Gandhi stated, "Even some in the BJP believe that something is fundamentally wrong."

When both of the Congress party's leaders address the media at the same time, it's an unusual occurrence.

The Congress, which has been a virtual non-player in Uttar Pradesh in recent years, is focussing on youth and women in the upcoming elections. In Uttar Pradesh, the party has promised that 40% of the seats will be reserved for women.

Between February 10 and March 7, Uttar Pradesh will vote in seven stages, with the results to be published on March 10.
