Purohit distributes job letters to constables recruited via Sports Quota

Purohit, Punjab governor and UT administrator, addressed a group of newly recruited UT police constables under the sports quota at the UT Secretariat in Chandigarh. Advising them to embrace a life of simplicity, he emphasized the importance of earning respect through hard work rather than pursuing wealth. Purohit's motivational speech aimed to instill values of integrity and self-respect among the recruits.

Recruitment process overview

Out of 3,642 applicants, 1,520 successfully passed the Physical Measurement and Measurement Test (PEMT) conducted from January 29 to February 10. From this pool, 45 candidates were selected based on their sports achievements, with 37 receiving offer letters at the ceremony.

Purohit urged the newly recruited constables to lead by example by maintaining a modest lifestyle. He highlighted the significance of self-respect and emphasized that true honor comes from one's actions and character, not material possessions. His words resonated with the audience, comprising constables eager to embark on their careers in law enforcement.

The ceremony, graced by Purohit as the chief guest, also featured Rajeev Verma, advisor to the administrator, as the guest of honor. Several other dignitaries, including Director General of Police Praveer Ranjan and Finance Secretary Vijay Namdeorao Zade, were present to celebrate the occasion and offer their support to the new recruits.
