Tear gas fired at Shambhu Border on day 4 of Farmers' Protest; Police report petrol bombs thrown

On the fourth day of the farmers' protest at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points, tensions escalated as security personnel fired tear gas to disperse protesters attempting to remove barricades. The Ambala Superintendent of Police reported incidents of stone-pelting, petrol bomb hurling, and attempts to ram security forces with tractors. CCTV footage released by the Haryana Police implicated protesters in provocation, intensifying the standoff. Amid the chaos, a 63-year-old farmer passed away due to cardiac arrest, prompting calls for unity and non-violent action from protest leaders.
