Dipa Karmakar inspires youngsters at leap gymnastics ahead of Paris Olympics 2024

Dipa Karmakar, who nearly won a medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics by finishing 4th in the vault event, recently visited Leap Gymnastics, an initiative by the JSW Group. This program is dedicated to advancing gymnastics in India. Her visit inspired many young athletes who are training for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024.

Leap gymnastics initiative

Leap Gymnastics, founded by Tanvi Jindal, aims to develop world-class gymnasts in India. The program has already trained over 1,000 gymnasts in Mumbai and plans to train more than 10,000 athletes nationwide over the next five years. This will be achieved by creating top-tier gymnastics centers, implementing modern training curriculums, and establishing a clear path for high-performance athletes.

Tanvi Jindal emphasized that Dipa Karmakar’s achievements highlight India’s potential in gymnastics and strengthen their commitment to nurturing future talent. During her visit, Dipa Karmakar expressed her gratitude to Leap Gymnastics and the JSW Group for their dedication to the growth of gymnastics and Olympic sports in India. Leap Gymnastics aims to introduce gymnastics to a broader audience in India and build a solid foundation for developing elite athletes. The program focuses on establishing world-class gymnastics centers, implementing progressive training curriculums, and creating a structured pathway for high-performance sports, with the ultimate goal of competing at global championships, including the Olympics.
