World Autism Day: District administration complex illuminated with blue light
S.A.S. Nagar, April 02: To make people aware about World Autism Day, the district administration complex was illuminated with blue light. Along with this, on April 2, an international confrance has organised at Dr. B R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Aashika Jain said that every year World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) is observed on April 02. Autism typically appears during the first three years of life. The three main areas affected in Persons with Autism are- Social relationships (Interaction with people), Communication (Speaking as well as understanding what others say) and Imagination (Presence of unusual and repetitive behaviour as well as interest).
There is a great need for creating awareness in the society about Autism Disorder. In order, to create awareness on Autism
government buildings are illuminated in blue on the intervening night of April 1 and 2, 2023.
A letter was sent by the Joint Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, National Trust for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi regarding this task.
The Deputy Commissioner said that no stone would be left unturned in creating awareness about this.
