Djokovic enters into 12th Wimbledon Final
Djokovic Secures 12th Wimbledon Semi-final, Extending Slam Record to 46!
Novak Djokovic has reached his 12th semi-final at Wimbledon and equaled the record of 46 semi-finals at Grand Slam tournaments. He achieved this feat by defeating Andrey Rublev in four sets on Tuesday. Djokovic, aiming for his eighth Wimbledon title and 24th major title overall, won the match with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3. His next opponent in the semi-finals will be Jannik Sinner from Italy.
Djokovic has now matched the retired Roger Federer's record of reaching 46 semi-finals in Grand Slam events. Despite facing intense pressure as the player to beat, the 36-year-old Serb expressed his enjoyment of the situation, stating, "I love it. Any player wants to be in the position where all the other players want to beat you." Djokovic has not lost a match on Centre Court since 2013 and intends to keep it that way.

Rublev's Fate
On the other hand, Rublev, currently ranked seventh in the world, faced disappointment once again in the quarter-finals of a major tournament, having lost in all eight quarter-final matches he has played so far.
Although Rublev started strongly and broke Djokovic's serve to take the first set, Djokovic quickly regained his composure. He dominated the second set, taking a commanding 5-0 lead and ultimately winning it. In the third set, Djokovic fought off two break points and managed to break Rublev's serve, securing a two sets to one advantage.
The conversion to victory was not without its challenges, as Djokovic faced multiple set points and saved break points. However, his victory was almost inevitable as he broke Rublev's serve early in the fourth set and closed out the match, hitting an impressive total of 42 winners.
In summary, Djokovic's exceptional performance at Wimbledon has led him to his 12th semi-final at the tournament and his 46th semi-final appearance at Grand Slam events, matching the record set by Roger Federer. Despite the pressure, Djokovic remains determined and focused as he continues his pursuit of victory at one of tennis' most prestigious tournaments.
