Ludhiana: Doctor crashes into divider during cardiac arrest, sadly passes away

In a tragic incident near the Neelon Canal bridge in Samrala, a doctor lost his life and his friend, a worker of the Congress party, sustained injuries when their car crashed into a road divider. The doctor had experienced a sudden cardiac arrest while driving, leading to the loss of control over the vehicle.
The two individuals involved in the accident have been identified as Dr. Surinder Singh Dhillon, aged 37, and Ravinder Singh Juggi Brar, aged 63.
Dr. Dhillon tragically passed away at the scene of the accident, while Mr. Brar was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Samrala. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where his condition is described as serious.

Members of Congress Party
Senior Congress leader Rajiv Raja revealed that party workers from Ludhiana had traveled to Chandigarh to attend an event commemorating the death anniversary of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Following the event, Dr. Dhillon and Mr. Brar, who is also a senior party worker, embarked on their journey back to Ludhiana in their Toyota Fortuner.
Raja further emphasized that Mr. Brar had a close working relationship with the late former Chief Minister Beant Singh.
Providing additional information, local police officials explained that when the two friends reached the Neelon Canal bridge, Dr. Dhillon suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest. This medical emergency caused him to lose control of the car, which subsequently collided with a road divider and overturned.
Sub-Inspector Bhinder Singh, who serves as the station house officer at Samrala, stated that the police have initiated inquest proceedings in accordance with section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
