Kriti Sanon at 34: embracing Delhi roots

Kriti Sanon turns 34: from Shanti Path drives to Shawarma Delights, celebrating her deep Delhi connection

Kriti Sanon celebrates her 34th birthday today, July 27. Despite her success and a luxurious duplex in Mumbai, her heart remains in Delhi's Patparganj. Kriti's journey began at Delhi Public School (DPS) RK Puram, where she proudly identifies as a "Dipsite." In November 2022, she returned to her alma mater after 15 years to promote her film "Bhediya." Kriti also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Noida's Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. During her college years, she started modeling, paving her way to an acting career.

Favorite Delhi treats and spots

Kriti has a special love for Delhi's street food. She adores shawarmas from Al-Bake in New Friends Colony and golgappas. When in Delhi for work, she often grabs a shawarma for her ride to the airport. She also loves dal makhani, chole bhature, and chana barfi from Om Bakery as her favorite late-night snacks. One of her cherished routes to drive through is Shanti Path, which fills her with peace and nostalgia. Despite her love for Delhi, Kriti finds navigating the city's ever-changing roads challenging, often relying on Google Maps to find her way home in East Delhi.

Delhi or Mumbai?

Though Kriti has not explicitly chosen between Delhi and Mumbai, she prefers Delhi's wider roads over Mumbai's narrower ones. She experienced a culture shock upon moving to Mumbai and often wondered where the main roads were. In a 2019 interview, she humorously shared how she initially thought Mumbai's main roads were like narrow lanes compared to Delhi's expansive streets.
