Pushpa 2 the rule reloaded: Allu Arjun’s film to feature 20 minutes of bonus footage, release date announced

Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, released in theaters on December 5. The makers have now announced an exciting update for fans—20 minutes of bonus footage will be added to the film’s runtime. This announcement comes as the movie continues its record-breaking journey at the box office.

The new version, titled Pushpa 2 Reloaded, will include 20 additional minutes of thrilling content. This extended version will start screening in theaters from January 11. The makers shared this update on social media, writing: “#Pushpa2TheRule RELOADED VERSION with 20 minutes of added footage will play in cinemas from 11th January.”

Pushpa 2 has already made waves in the film industry. It became the first dubbed Hindi film to enter the ₹800 crore club and has grossed over ₹1,800 crore worldwide. This extended cut aims to give audiences a fresh reason to revisit the cinemas.

Blockbuster success

Allu Arjun plays the iconic character of Pushpa Raj, a sandalwood smuggler with unmatched style. Rashmika Mandanna stars as his wife, Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil portrays SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, Pushpa’s nemesis. The supporting cast includes Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, and others. The film’s music, including hits like “Peelings” and “Kissik,” has become a cultural phenomenon.

With Pushpa 2 breaking records, the makers have already announced a sequel, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage. This news has further heightened excitement among fans of the franchise.

Stampede incident

Despite its success, Pushpa 2 faced controversy. On December 4, a 35-year-old woman named Revathi died, and her eight-year-old son was injured during a stampede at the film’s premiere. Lead actor Allu Arjun faced legal issues following the incident. He was arrested on December 13 and released on interim bail a day later. The bail was extended by the Nampally Court on January 10. On January 7, Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad to meet Sri Teja, the injured child.

Pushpa 2 Reloaded promises to take fans deeper into the thrilling world of Pushpa Raj. With added scenes and its strong emotional appeal, the movie is set to make an even bigger impact in theaters.
