Jasprit Bumrah attends Coldplay Concert with family, thanks Band for special shoutout

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah had an unforgettable experience at Coldplay’s concert in Ahmedabad. The final show of the band's India tour was held in a packed stadium, where Bumrah attended with his wife and mother. The event was already exciting for fans, but it became even more special when Coldplay gave a shoutout to the fast bowler.

On January 26, lead singer Chris Martin surprised everyone by dedicating a song to Bumrah. He sang, "O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket." The crowd cheered as a video of Bumrah’s bowling was played on the big screen. The band also displayed his signed Test jersey on stage, making it a moment to remember.

Bumrah shares his excitement

On Tuesday, Bumrah posted a video of his time at the concert. The clip showed him enjoying the music, smiling with his family, and meeting the band backstage. He called it an "experience of a lifetime" and thanked Coldplay for the love. He also congratulated them on their successful India tour.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about Coldplay’s concerts and the rise of live events in India. During the Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, he highlighted how big concerts can help boost tourism, create jobs, and improve India's global image.

He said India's young population and love for music make it a great place for international concerts. The sold-out Coldplay shows in Mumbai and Ahmedabad prove that live events have a huge future in the country. Modi encouraged more investment in India's concert industry, calling it an "exciting opportunity" for growth.

With more artists performing in India and fans showing great enthusiasm, the country is becoming a hotspot for global music events.
