Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries arrested on Sex Trafficking charges along with two Associates
Michael Jeffries, the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, along with two other associates, has been arrested on charges of sex trafficking and interstate prostitution. Federal prosecutors confirmed the arrest but have not yet released specific details of the charges. Jeffries has faced years of sexual misconduct allegations, with claims that he promised young people modeling jobs but instead forced them into sex acts.

Years of allegations resurface
The charges come after civil lawsuits and media reports alleged that Jeffries ran a sex-trafficking operation during his time as Abercrombie’s CEO. The lawsuits claim that Jeffries used modeling scouts to lure victims. His attorney, Brian Bieber, said they would respond to the allegations once the indictment is unsealed.
Jeffries stepped down from his position at Abercrombie & Fitch in 2014. The company has since initiated an independent investigation following similar allegations highlighted by the BBC last year.
