Family to seek High Court intervention as Monu Manesar's bail plea rejected

Family vows to approach High Court after bail plea for Monu Manesar is denied

A district court in Rajasthan's Deeg has rejected the bail plea of Monu Manesar, a cow vigilante accused of a double murder. Monu Manesar had sought bail after being in judicial custody for 15 days. He was detained by Haryana police on September 12 and subsequently arrested by Rajasthan in connection with the murder of two Muslim men.

The family of Monu Manesar has expressed their intention to appeal the bail rejection in the Rajasthan High Court. Additionally, they plan to approach the Supreme Court, requesting the transfer of Manesar's case from Rajasthan to another state. The family is concerned about his safety since he was moved from Bharatpur Central Jail Sewar to Ajmer jail on September 22.

Background of the case

Monu Manesar, a member of the Bajrang Dal, was arrested in connection with the murder of two Muslim men, Junaid (aged 35) and Nasir (aged 25). The victims were allegedly abducted, assaulted, killed, and their bodies burned by cow protection gangs on February 16 in Haryana's Bhiwani district. Manesar is charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
