Intense exchange of fire reported in Doda encounter at Bhatta Area

Late on Tuesday night, a brief exchange of gunfire occurred between security forces and terrorists in the Bhatta area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Police reported that search operations are currently ongoing in the region.

Casualties and responses

Earlier, on Monday evening, an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Desa Forest area, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers. The Indian Army identified the fallen as Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay.

The Indian Army expressed deep condolences to the families of these soldiers and assured them of unwavering support during this difficult time. The Army emphasized its commitment to maintaining peace in the region through counter-terrorist operations.

According to the White Knight Corps, the joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police was launched based on specific intelligence inputs. The encounter with terrorists began around 9 PM on Monday, leading to a significant firefight.
