Fresh production Warrant issued for Monu Manesar

Haryana Police to bring Monu Manesar from Rajasthan on October 7

A court in Pataudi, Haryana, has issued a new production warrant for Monu Manesar, a cow vigilante currently in judicial custody in Rajasthan in connection with the Nasir-Junaid murder case. The warrant was issued in an attempt-to-murder case. Initially, a production warrant for Monu Manesar was set for September 25, but the Haryana police cited the unavailability of a security escort from Rajasthan on Monday, resulting in a missed court appearance. Subsequently, a fresh request was made to the court.

Manbir Singh, DCP of Manesar, stated, "We obtained the production warrant for Monu Manesar, and we will bring him to the Pataudi court on October 7."

Monu Manesar's association with Bajrang Dal

Monu Manesar, associated with the Bajrang Dal, is currently incarcerated in the high-security Ajmer jail, accused of abducting and killing Nasir and Junaid. The victims' charred bodies were discovered in a vehicle on the Rajasthan-Haryana border on February 16, allegedly abducted by vigilantes who accused them of cow smuggling.

Monu Manesar was apprehended by Haryana Police on September 12 due to an inflammatory social media post made on August 26. Subsequently, he was handed over to the Rajasthan Police following a transit remand obtained from a Nuh court.

The missed court appearance highlights the logistical challenges faced in bringing Monu Manesar from Rajasthan to Gurugram, primarily the lack of an available security escort. This development underscores the complex nature of inter-state legal proceedings and the coordination required between law enforcement agencies in different regions.
