USCIS raises H-1B Visa premium processing fee by 12% amidst high demand

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has revealed an increase of 12% in the premium processing fees for H-1B visa applications. Effective February 26, 2024, the new fees will amount to $2805, up from the current $2500. This hike is in accordance with the USCIS Stabilization Act and encompasses various application forms, including I-129, I-140, I-539, and I-765.

Fee increase details

The latest fee adjustment, influenced by inflation from June 2021 to June 2023, aims to fund premium processing services, enhance adjudication processes, and improve overall USCIS services. The USCIS plans to continue biennial increases in premium processing fees. Notably, the fees for different classifications under form I-129 have been revised, affecting H-1B, L1, and other nonimmigrant worker petitions.
