Haryana CM extends support to fallen hero's family: Compensation and jobs offered

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar showed his support for the family of Major Aashish Dhonchak, who lost his life during an encounter in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister announced a compensation of ₹50 lakh and a job for Major Dhonchak's wife as a gesture of respect and assistance to the grieving family.

Condolences and compensation

Major Aashish Dhonchak, a promising young officer, lost his life during an encounter with terrorists in Anantnag. He had risen to the rank of Major in just 11 years of service. Major Dhonchak was the only brother to three sisters, making his loss especially difficult for his family. In response to this tragedy, the government pledged ₹50 lakh in compensation to the family. Additionally, they will provide Major Dhonchak's wife with a job to support her livelihood. The government is committed to preserving his memory and offering any assistance necessary to the family during this challenging time.

A father and family's grief

Major Aashish Dhonchak, in addition to his dedicated service, was a father to a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. His untimely demise has left his family and community in deep sorrow. During the same encounter in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district, two other brave individuals lost their lives. Colonel Manpreet Singh, who was leading the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Rashtriya Rifles, and Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Humayun Bhat, also made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their bravery and commitment to the nation are acknowledged and honored.

Expressions of grief and tributes

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of these officers during the encounter. He paid his respects to Deputy Superintendent Humayun Bhat during his last rites in Budgam, recognizing their dedication and the sacrifices they made in the service of their nation.
