Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij inaugurates multi-level car parking in Ambala Cantt
Haryana's Home Minister, Anil Vij, inaugurated a multi-level car parking facility in Ambala Cantt at a cost of ₹19.38 crore. This three-floor parking structure is strategically located in the heart of the town, serving as a convenient hub for shoppers. The project's foundation stone was laid in 2018, and its completion marks a significant milestone for the region.
The newly inaugurated parking facility offers space for over 350 cars and 300 bikes, with management responsibilities handed over to the municipal council of Ambala Sadar. Minister Vij urged various stakeholders to collaborate to ensure smooth operations. He called on the civic body to arrange e-rickshaws to transport shoppers to the markets and tasked the police with setting up barricades to prevent unauthorized vehicle access to the market area. Furthermore, he encouraged market associations to actively participate in this initiative.

Haryana Chief Minister announces ₹501 diwali gift for workers
In a separate development, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a special Diwali gift for safai karmacharis (cleaning staff), chowkidars (watchmen), and tube well operators. These workers will receive ₹501 directly transferred to their bank accounts as a token of appreciation. This gesture aims to provide some extra cheer during the festive season.
