Major IPS reshuffle in Haryana: new Police Chiefs appointed in 7 Districts

In a significant move, the Haryana government issued transfer orders for 27 IPS officers, leading to a major reshuffle in the state's police administration. The changes, which include transfers of police chiefs in seven districts, are part of the government's strategy to enhance law enforcement efficiency and address emerging challenges.

The superintendent of police (SP) for Ambala, Jashndeep Randhawa, has been transferred to Kurukshetra, replacing Surender Singh Bhoria, who will take over as SP, Ambala. This exchange is one of several key transfers aimed at optimizing the deployment of senior police officers in critical areas.

New appointments in key positions

SP Palwal, Anshu Singla, has been appointed as SP of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), while Chander Mohan, previously with ACB, has been posted as SP, Palwal. The reshuffle also includes the transfer of SP Rewari, Shashank Kumar Sawan, to the position of DCP Headquarters in Jhajjar. Gaurav, formerly DCP (East) Sonepat, will now serve as SP, Rewari.

Additionally, SP Hisar, Mohit Honda, has been transferred to Karnal, replacing Deepak Saharan, who will now serve as SP, Hisar. Narendra Bijarniya, SP Nuh, will take charge as SP of the Special Task Force, while Vijay Pratap, DCP Crime, Gurgaon, has been appointed as SP, Nuh. Deepti Garg, Additional SP Sirsa, has been assigned the role of SP, Dabwali.

High-level transfers

The reshuffle also affects high-level positions, including the transfer of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Karnal range. Satender Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the new commissioner of police, Sonepat, replacing B Satheesh Balan, who will continue to hold the charge of commissioner of police, Jhajjar. Additionally, IG HAP Madhuban, Kulwinder Singh, has been posted as IG, Karnal range.

These strategic transfers and appointments reflect the Haryana government's commitment to strengthening its law enforcement framework and ensuring effective governance.
