Haryana CM personally monitors residential building roof collapse in Gurugram

In Gurugram, a residential building's roof collapsed

In Gurugram on Thursday (February 10), a part of the roof of an apartment building in Sector 109 collapsed, causing a massive structural collapse and several people are feared to be trapped in the incident.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been dispatched to the Chintels Paradiso housing project, where the accident occurred, and rescue efforts are ongoing.

Two persons have died and up to 12 persons of four families are said to be trapped under the rubble in the building.

According to Kaushal Kumar, a building resident, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the apartment’s D Tower, and six floors of the building had collapsed. Further, he informed that four families lived in the tower, and only two of the six flats were vacant.

“From the sixth to the first floor, the drawing room area collapsed. Some area is still gradually falling off,” he said.

Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, tweeted that he is personally monitoring the situation.
