Janhvi Kapoor expresses gratitude to fans for 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' success: 'Your love is worth everything'

Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao star in the film "Mr and Mrs Mahi," which revolves around a couple passionate about cricket. The movie has been performing well at the box office, earning ₹21.10 crore in its first five days. Janhvi expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying their love and support motivate her to work harder.

Janhvi thanked her fans in a statement, saying, “Your love has motivated me to keep going and keep working even harder and pushing myself in my craft. Your love is worth everything! Mr and Mrs Mahi is a piece of my heart, and for all those who understood and connected with what we were trying to say, thank you.”

About the film

Directed by Sharan Sharma, "Mr and Mrs Mahi" features Janhvi as Mahima, a doctor who becomes a cricketer after her husband Mahendra, played by Rajkummar, spots her talent and encourages her to pursue her dream. He also becomes her coach. Janhvi underwent two years of rigorous training for the role, overcoming several injuries, including a shoulder dislocation.

The film's title is a tribute to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, affectionately called Mahi by fans and teammates. The cast includes Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, and Zarina Wahab. This film marks the second collaboration between Janhvi and director Sharan Sharma. Janhvi and Rajkummar previously appeared together in the horror-comedy "Roohi."

Box Office performance and upcoming projects

"Mr and Mrs Mahi" was released on May 31, earning ₹6.75 crore on its first day, ₹4.6 crore on the second, ₹5.5 crore on the third, ₹2.15 crore on the fourth, and ₹2.10 crore on the fifth day, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.com. The film had an overall 10.60% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday.

Looking ahead, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in the mythological epic "Karna" and "Devara" opposite Junior NTR. She also has projects like "Ulajh," "RC16" with Ram Charan, and Karan Johar’s "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" opposite Varun Dhawan lined up.
