Kashyap: SRK, Aamir, Salman work free, keep film costs low

Anurag Kashyap reveals Shah Rukh, Aamir, and Salman Khan work without fees: ‘Their films are never costly’

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, known for his candid opinions, recently praised Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan for not charging fees for their films. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he explained that these actors are cost-conscious, which helps keep their movies affordable. Anurag pointed out that while actors' fees are dictated by the market, unnecessary expenses often inflate the budget. He shared that he often works within tight budgets and has even forfeited his fees, working for free in over 60% of his films.

Kashyap's approach and upcoming projects

Anurag highlighted "Gangs of Wasseypur" as an example where he did not take any fees to avoid replacing actors with big stars. He noted that Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir are the most cost-conscious stars in the industry, as they do not charge upfront fees but take backend profits, ensuring their films are not costly.
