Punjab's Power and Public Works Minister, Harbhajan Singh ETO, announced the commissioning of power transformers worth ₹17.3 crore at Kharar and Talwandi Sabo. The move aligns with the state's commitment to delivering reliable power supply to enhance the industrial and public sectors.
Transforming power infrastructure in Punjab
The Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) has successfully commissioned 160 MVA, 220/66KV, and 100 MVA, 220/66KV power transformers in Kharar and Talwandi Sabo, respectively. These transformers, with a combined investment of ₹17.3 crore, aim to address the growing demand for power in the region.

The installation of new transformers responds to the industry's longstanding request for increased power capacity in the Kharar area.
