Aam Aadmi Party
Like other parties, politics is not a business for us, we do public welfare – Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann
Arvind Kejriwal's revolution is now propagating across the country - Mann
BJP talks about hatred, we talk about schools and hospitals
With the formation of AAP govt, like Delhi and Punjab, will end corruption and mis-governance in Assam too - Mann
Chandigarh, April 2: Addressing a public meeting in Assam on Sunday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann targeting the BJP and Congress governments said that like the leaders of other parties, politics is not business for us, we work for public welfare and development. He said that the people of a state whose head is a businessman are beggars.
He said that the BJP and the Congress used to rule Assam like a fixed match before, but now people here, like in Delhi and Punjab, also have the option of an honest and good party in the form of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Describing the achievements of his party, Mann said that we have completely ended corruption in Punjab. We issued an anti-corruption helpline number to curb it, after which action was taken against more than 500 corrupt officials, employees and leaders. Now fear has arisen in the minds of corrupt people.
Electricity is free in Punjab, today, electricity bills of more than 90% houses are zero. We had given a guarantee in Punjab that after forming the government, Mohalla clinics would be in every village. Within a year, we opened more than 500 mohalla clinics. Apart from this, we have also given government jobs to 28,472 youth of Punjab within a year.
Mann said that BJP talks about hatred. We talk about schools and hospitals. Arvind Kejriwal has rejuvenated the government schools in Delhi and built world class schools. In Punjab too, we are doing the same to give children the best education. Now students from private schools are enrolling in government schools. Today the children of Delhi's government schools are becoming doctors, engineers, lawyers and officers.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is horrified by Delhi's education and health revolution. That is why they put Delhi's Education Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyender Jain in jail by implicating them in false cases.
Targeting Prime Minister Modi, Mann said that PM Modi used to sell tea at the railway station in his childhood. And, after the formation of the BJP government, he sold the railway. They have no idea that in a democracy, the public have all the power to make or break anyone.
Chief Minister Mann appealed to the people of Assam to give a chance to the Aam Aadmi Party. We will bring change here like Delhi and Punjab, will rejuvenate schools, hospitals and end corruption completely.
