AP CM Chandrababu Naidu expresses gratitude to Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and Ram Charan for attending oath-taking ceremony
On June 12, Nara Chandrababu Naidu took his oath as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time, and Pawan Kalyan was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister for the first time. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, and Ram Charan. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), sharing photos with the stars and thanking them for making the event special. He said, “The oath-taking ceremony shone even brighter today with the presence of our cinema legends. I thank Thalaivar @rajinikanth Garu, @KChiruTweets Garu, @AlwaysRamCharan Garu, and every superstar who graced the occasion.”
Stars and leaders join the celebration
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the ceremony. He held Pawan Kalyan’s hand and took him to meet Chiranjeevi on stage. Modi lifted their hands in a gesture of victory and hugged both brothers. Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha, his brother Nagababu, and other members of the Konidela family, including Niharika and Akira Nandan, were present. Actor Nikhil Siddhartha and directors Krish and Meher Ramesh also attended.

Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana, shared a video of Modi’s gesture on her Instagram Stories with a sticker of people holding the Indian flag. Niharika Konidela also shared the moment, captioning it, “Moments like these,” with heart emojis.
Upcoming projects of attending celebrities
Rajinikanth will be seen in TJ Gnanavel’s "Vettaiyan," featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. He has also signed up for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s "Coolie." Chiranjeevi is filming "Vishwambhara" with Trisha Krishnan, directed by Malladi Vassishta.
Pawan Kalyan has three upcoming projects: Sujeeth’s "They Call Him OG," Krish and AM Jyothi Krishna’s "Hari Hara Veera Mallu," and Harish Shankar’s "Ustaad Bhagat Singh." Ram Charan will appear in Shankar’s "Game Changer" and has agreed to projects with Sukumar and Buchi Babu Sana.
The swearing-in ceremony highlighted the strong connection between politics and cinema in Andhra Pradesh, with many prominent figures from both fields coming together to celebrate the new leadership.
