Opposition Alliance 'I.N.D.I.A' Gathers at Rajya Sabha Leader's Office to Strategize Amid Parliament Logjam

The newly formed Opposition alliance, named the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A), is set to meet at the office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, in Parliament on Tuesday. The aim of the meeting is to chalk out a strategy for the floor of the House as the logjam in Parliament continues for the third consecutive day.

Since the Monsoon Session of Parliament began last Thursday, the proceedings of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have faced multiple adjournments. The situation in Manipur has dominated the discussions during the third day of the session, with the Opposition demanding the Centre's attention to address the issue.

The Congress and other opposition leaders are seeking a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself in Parliament during the ongoing Monsoon session regarding the Manipur situation. However, amid the relentless protests and demands for the Prime Minister's statement, the proceedings in both Houses have been marred by disruptions and counter-charges from both sides.

Deadlock in the Parliament

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Monday, called on the opposition to allow a debate on the Manipur issue to commence, but the opposing factions remained firm on their stance. As the deadlock persisted, AAP MP Sanjay Singh faced suspension from the Upper House for the rest of the monsoon session due to his involvement in the uproar.

The Opposition alliance, I.N.D.I.A, is expected to use their meeting on Tuesday to devise a cohesive approach to address their concerns and push for a resolution on the Manipur issue. However, it remains to be seen how the ruling party and the opposition will navigate through their differences to ensure a constructive debate and discussions on critical matters affecting the nation.

As the proceedings continue to be disrupted, the Indian public eagerly awaits a productive resolution to allow Parliament to function effectively and address crucial issues impacting the country's development and welfare. The logjam in Parliament underscores the urgency of finding common ground and fostering constructive dialogue between the government and the Opposition for the greater good of the nation.
