PM Modi hails the BJP's victory in 4 states
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in four states. “Today, India’s democracy is being celebrated. During his remarks at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, he remarked, “I thank all the voters who participated in the elections.”
“BJP workers promised we will celebrate Holi early this year. I salute the hard work of our party workers and supporters. After the 2019 polls, some political pundits had said that the 2017 poll results had decided the 2019 outcome. I think they will say that the 2022 poll verdict decided the outcome of 2024 elections,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a scathing attack on the opposition over the Ukraine crisis, alleging that some parties attempted to create fear among Indian students fleeing the war-torn country.
“Despite being incumbent in Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa, the BJP’s vote share has risen. All exit polls in Goa were wrong, and the people of Goa have given us the opportunity to serve them for the third time,” Prime Minister Modi said.
The results reaffirm the BJP’s pro-poor and pro-active policies. Previously, individuals were unable to contact governments for essential services such as power, gas, and water, according to Modi.
In the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur, the Bharatiya Janata Party had a phenomenal performance. The saffron party and its allies were ahead in over 270 seats in Uttar Pradesh, allowing them to retain the state for the second time.
The BJP was able to retain Uttarakhand by avoiding anti-incumbency in the Himalayan state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on the other hand, was defeated in the elections. The BJP gained 20 seats in the 40-member Assembly of Goa, barely one short of the magic number. Meanwhile, in Manipur, the BJP is expected to form the government.
PM Modi congratulates AAP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on its historic victory in the Punjab Assembly elections, which saw the party secure a three-fourths majority with 92 seats. He also promised all possible help from the Centre for the state’s welfare.
PM Modi tweeted, “I would like to congratulate AAP for their victory in the Punjab elections. I assure all possible support from the Centre for Punjab’s welfare.”
