PM says, Congress wasted chances to deliver Kartarpur to India

PM Modi has accused previous Congress administrations of abandoning three options for maintaining the historic Sikh shrine of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in India, which is currently in Pakistan and within 5 kilometers from the Punjab border. He referred to the Congress and AAP as "chips off the obsolete block" during an election rally near the India-Pakistan border on Wednesday, saying, "One looted Punjab, while the other is involved in scam after scam in Delhi."

He claimed that the Congress administration in 1947 did not consider keeping Kartarpur Sahib with India and that during the 1965 India-Pakistan conflict, when the Indian Army was marching into Lahore, it could have included Kartarpur Sahib by shifting a few steps ahead. During the 1971 conflict, India may have sought Kartarpur Sahib in exchange for 90,000 Pakistani prisoners of war.

Modi said that his government had accomplished what the Congress had failed to do for years: opening the Kartarpur Corridor to pilgrims heading to the shrine. People no longer need binoculars to acquire a 'darshan' of the shrine; instead, they can go there and worship, he said.

“And even on the anniversary of the Pulwama attack, Congress kept attacking them. Now, they are again asking for proof of the bravery of our army.” Modi made the following statement: When six Pakistani terrorists attacked the Pathankot air power station in January 2016, Congress members questioned the military's bravery.

He claimed that Congress awarded prestigious jobs to those involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, whereas the BJP put them in jail.

Modi railed against Congress and the AAP as a whole, saying: “Congress now has a partner-in-crime to support its misdeeds. The two parties share a lot of similarities. They together opposed building the Ram temple in Ayodhya. If Congress is an original copy, AAP is its Xerox.”

He claimed that Congress and the AAP were engaged in a "noora kushti" (closed struggle) in the elections and were only claiming to be in opposition to one another.

Modi "complained" that Punjab hasn't given the BJP and alliance partners Punjab Lok Congress of Capt. Amarinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa's SAD (Sanyukt) the opportunity to serve them this time (it was a junior companion in three Akali governments since 1997, although).

A few years ago, the SAD and the BJP had a falling out over three farm legislation standards.

The Prime Minister said he received "motherly love" from the people of Pathankot when he arrived in this frontier cantonment city on a two-wheeler or by train en route to J&Okay. "Majha ki mitti nay ma jaisa pyar aur sneh diya hai (Majha ki mitti nay ma jaisa pyar aur sneh diya hai (Majha ki mitti nay ma jaisa pyar aur sneh diya hai (Majha ki mitti nay

“Majha has a special bond with Kashi Vishwanath as the temple’s domes were covered with gold donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh.” Modi also mentioned an old connection between Majha, the Punjabi district where Pathankot is located, and Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath temple.

“We will make a strong and prosperous Punjab and not a helpless one… BJP wants a nawan, hasda, vasda, nachada and charda Punjab (BJP wants a new, smiling, prospering, dancing and rising Punjab),” Modi mentioned the following in his nearly hour-long speech:
