Chandigarh Administration to install Police bBat Box at Sector-26 Mandi

The Chandigarh administration is planning to install a police beat box in Sector-26 Mandi to improve security. This decision was taken after a review meeting held on Saturday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav. The meeting focused on the overall development and maintenance of the mandi area.

During the meeting, officials also discussed removing encroachments to ensure the market runs smoothly. The UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria had earlier visited the mandi and given several instructions for improvement. The review meeting was held to check the progress of those instructions.

Focus on better infrastructure

Key officials, including Agriculture Secretary Hari Kalikat, were present at the meeting. They talked about ways to improve roads, repair potholes, and install streetlights in the mandi area. These steps aim to make the market safer and more accessible for traders and visitors.
