Addressing the 21st convocation ceremony at Tezpur University in Assam, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the government's commitment to fostering a self-reliant defence sector. He noted the significant growth in India's defence exports, reaching ₹16,000 crore in 2022-23, with domestic defence production standing at ₹180,000 crore.

Promoting indigenous manufacturing and cultural heritage
