Richa Chadha leaves Panga scenes over quality concerns

Richa Chadha exits scenes in Kangana Ranaut's Panga, citing lack of substance

Richa Chadha, known for her diverse roles, recently discussed her experience working on the sports drama Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut. In an interview with Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus, Richa revealed she chose to opt out of several scenes in the movie because she felt they lacked substance.

Reasons for opting out

Richa explained that she was initially excited about Panga because she thought it would focus on female athletes and their challenges, including balancing sports and motherhood. However, she felt that the film's direction didn't meet her expectations. "I kind of opted out of a lot of scenes in that one," she said. "I thought the film would be about female athletes, but somewhere along the line, it went south for me. So, I was like, ‘Give me a guest appearance.’ The role had more potential, but it's not about the size of the part for me. I care more about building credibility."
