Beyond sparking the remarkable turnaround, Ronaldo's goal held even greater significance as it enabled him to surpass German football legend Gerd Muller in the list of players with the most headed goals. Ronaldo's remarkable header marked his 145th such goal, eclipsing Muller's record of 144. Muller, celebrated as one of the greatest goal scorers in history, last played for Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 1981 and left an indelible mark on the sport, leading West Germany to the 1974 World Cup title and the 1972 European Championship, while also securing three European Cups during his illustrious tenure at Bayern Munich, along with four Bundesliga titles.

With this achievement, Ronaldo now stands at third place in the list of players with the most headed goals. Ahead of him are Spain and Real Madrid legend Santillana, with 125 headed goals, and late Brazil icon Pele, who found the net with his head 124 times.

After joining Al Nassr in January 2023, following his departure from Premier League side Manchester United, Ronaldo has already made a significant impact, scoring 15 goals for the Saudi Pro League outfit.
