SCD Government College arranges Orientation Programme for the entry classes

The new academic session 2023-24 of SCD Government College, Ludhiana began on 25th July with an Orientation Programme for the new students enrolled in the different courses. 

The Principal, Prof Dr. Tanvir Likhari welcomed the new students warmly and also motivated them to shoulder the mantle of responsibility commendably that being a part of SCD places upon them. It is the 'Tradition of Excellence' of this college that all those who are associated with it have to contribute to and to carry forward. It is important to ask oneself "What is my identity?" and only then will you know how to carve it. She also  gave information about the resources that the college offers for the realisation of the goals of the students.

Other professors gave detailed information about different aspects of the college - academics, examinations, attendance, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, different clubs and societies, open gyms, sports and games, various scholarship schemes for deserving students, mentor- mentee groups, NCC, NSS,  and other pertinent issues of the day concerning the youth.

Prof Geetanjali, Prof. Gursharan Singh Sandhu, Prof Satya Rani, Prof. Basra, Prof. Kulwant, Prof Neelam, and Prof. Sajla. 

Under the directive of the Higher Education Department, a Workshop was conducted on Gender Sensitisation by Prof. Paramjit Singh. The students were exhorted to embrace gender equality and prove themselves to be worthy citizens of the nation.

The induction programme concluded with the National Anthem.
