Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Chandigarh Receives Approval of Grant of Approximately Rs. 10 Crore from Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India
Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College & Hospital, a premier institution in Ayurvedic education and healthcare, is pleased to announce that it has received an approval of grant of approximately Rs. 10 crore from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for Upgradation of Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College &Hospital to Centre of Excellence for Ayurvedic Management and Care of Chronic Spine Disorders under COE Component of Ayurswasthya Yojana.
The grant; a significant recognition of the institution's commitment to excellence in Ayurvedic education and healthcare, will be utilized to further enhance the college's infrastructure, academic programs, and research initiatives.
In this project, Dr. Sumit Srivastava, Principal will act as Principal Investigator, Dr. A. Sankar Babu, Director Hospital as Co-PI, Dr. Pragati A. Katariya Professor & HoD, Deptt. of Kayachikitsa as Co-PI and Dr. Kanika Aggarwal, Professor, Deptt. of Panchkarma as Co-PI.
Expressing Happiness and Gratitude
Dr. Naresh Mittal, General Secretary, Shri Dhanwantry Educational Society (Regd.) Chandigarh, expressed his happiness and gratitude to the Government of India for the grant. "This grant is a testament to the institution's dedication to promoting Ayurvedic education and healthcare. We are committed to utilizing these funds to further strengthen our programs and contribute to the growth of Ayurveda in the country." He also announced the upcoming inauguration of a new 250-bedded Ayurvedic Hospital with state-of-the-art infrastructure in February 2025. Additionally, Dr. Mittal highlighted that their hospital boasts Cashless CGHS empanelment, NABH accreditation, and empanelment with the Haryana Government and other agencies.
Sh. Sudershan Kumar Sharma, Director, and Dr. Sumit Srivastava, Principal, SDACH, Chandigarh also expressed their happiness and gratitude to the Government of India for the grant. "This grant will enable us to take our institution to new heights and provide our students with world-class education and training in Ayurveda," they said.
