Six Missing in Luxury Yacht Disaster Near Sicily Identified

A luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily on Monday due to a severe storm, resulting in one death and leaving six people missing. Among those unaccounted for are British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his daughter, Hannah. Fifteen people were rescued before the yacht went down.

Mike Lynch, a prominent tech entrepreneur known for founding Autonomy, was aboard the yacht with his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah. Lynch, who faced legal battles after selling Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard, was recently cleared of all charges. His daughter, who was about to study English literature at Oxford, is also missing. Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, was on the yacht but was rescued.

Jonathan and Judy Bloomer
Jonathan Bloomer, former CEO of Prudential and current chair of Hiscox, and his wife, Judy, are among the missing. Bloomer testified in Lynch's legal case, and his wife, Judy, has worked as a psychotherapist. Both were on the yacht for a private outing.

Christopher and Neda Morvillo
Christopher Morvillo, a lawyer with Clifford Chance in New York and part of Lynch's defense team, is missing along with his wife, Neda. Morvillo was involved in a long legal fight to clear Lynch's name. Neda Morvillo is known for her luxury jewelry designs.

The search continues for the missing individuals as authorities work to assess and address the situation.
